At all of our 4 sites across Adelaide, you'll find qualified professionals who all share a passion for occupational therapy, whilst being specialists in the field of hand therapy.
Services include:
- Assessment and assistance with diagnosis of hand and arm pain and injuries.
- Customised intervention programs to improve one's ability to perform daily activities.
- Comprehensive work site evaluations with recommendations including training in ergonomic techniques, equipment design and provision of adaptive equipment.
- Assessments of Daily Living in the home environment, including recommendations on adaptations to both techniques and tools. We are also able to facilitate access to recommended adaptive equipment.
- Specialised functional capacity evaluation using standardised Valpar assessment tools.
- Guidance to family members and caregivers with respect to injuries and rehabilitation and ways to assist their family.
- Including custom made static and dynamic splints including protective splints post surgery or fracture, functional and resting splints.
- Fit compressions garments following hand trauma and burns.
- Scar Care.
- Mobilisation and customised prescribed exercise programmes.
- Hands On Treatment which includes soft tissue and scar massage.
- Prescription of tens machines for pain management, electrical muscle stimulation machines
- Sensory re-education and desensitisation following nerve injuries.
- We also undertake medico-legal assessments and Independent Clinical assessments.
- Joint Protection education for arthritis sufferers with ergonomic equipment available for purchase.
